ALAG is a community organisation working in partnership with local authorities and the voluntary sector to highlight the needs of people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC).

ALAG provides valuable social support to high functioning but vulnerable adults on the autism spectrum across London. We are dedicated to seeking new but practical initiatives when supporting individuals to come to terms with their diagnosis and to providing the social and emotional support essential to their well-being.

ALAG was recently awarded funding from the Department of Health’s Autism Innovation Fund to train a small number of ALAG members in Support Planning and Brokerage. This training equipped the participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to offer person centred peer support to other disabled people and to have more input and control over the support they receive.

As well as providing information, advice and guidance to our members and supporting them to access services and engage in their community, ALAG also offers autism awareness training to a wide range of organisations.

Our monthly meetings provide peer support with opportunities to discuss common issues as well as access to researchers and specialist speakers who give talks at the meetings. Our members say they feel supported, understood and accepted as a result of their involvement with ALAG.

If you would like to find out more about ALAG or book a place to attend any of the meetings or events, please email:
